According to Ayurveda, agni (digestive fire) is the foundation of good health, and when it's strong, it helps detoxify the body, leading to clear, vibrant skin. Both lemon and ginger are powerful ingredients that work harmoniously to support digestion, reduce ama (toxins), and enhance skin radiance.

- Considered a natural cleanser in Ayurveda, helping to flush out toxins.  
- Rich in vitamin C, which promotes collagen production and helps fade dark spots.

How to Make a Morning Lemon & Ginger Shot (Ayurvedic Style) 🍋🫚

Ingredients: 
✔️ 1-inch fresh ginger root (or 1 tsp ginger juice)  
✔️ Juice of 1/2 lemon  
✔️ 1/4 cup warm water (optional, for dilution)  
✔️ A pinch of turmeric (optional for extra anti-inflammatory benefits)  
✔️ A pinch of black pepper (optional to enhance absorption)  

Instructions: 
1️⃣ Wash the ginger, and keep the skin on. 
2️⃣ Peel the lemon and remove seeds
3️⃣ Add warm water for a gentler effect on digestion.  
4️⃣ Add the turmeric and black pepper for better absorption
5️⃣ Blend it in your mixer or juicer, strain, and have it empty stomach.

What If I have poor digestion?   

Ayurveda recommends starting the day with warm, healing drinks to awaken digestion. While ginger and lemon are excellent for this, it’s important to listen to your body:  

✅ For most people: A small shot of lemon and ginger in the morning can stimulate digestion, improve metabolism, and aid detoxification.  
⚠️ If you have Pitta imbalance (acid reflux, ulcers, or heat sensitivity): You may need to dilute it with more water or take it after a light meal.
